NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Aug 02 –
Continuing maternal problems with smoking, poor physical health, and depression are reflected in offspring’s health, behavior and language development at 3 years of age, US physicians report.
Led by Dr. Robert S. Kahn, of Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, investigators obtained longitudinal data for 8087 mother-child pairs from the 1988 National Maternal and Infant Health Survey and its 1991 Longitudinal Follow-Up. They describe their findings in the American Journal of Public Health for August
