Vaginal Hydrocortisone Suppositories Helpful in Lichen Planus

 Approximately 80% of women with lichen planus had relief from vaginal hydrocortisone suppositories, according to a report in the August issue of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

“There are currently no satisfactory therapeutic regimens for vulvovaginal lichen planus,” write Melissa Anderson, MD, and colleagues from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. “The vaginal hydrocortisone suppository should be added to the arsenal of treatment modalities for this difficult disease
