NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Jul 12 – A regimen of high-intensity oral anticoagulation or a combination of aspirin plus medium-intensity anticoagulation is superior to aspirin alone in reducing recurrent events in patients with acute coronary syndrome who have experienced an acute event.
This finding comes from the Antithrombotics in the Secondary Prevention of Events in Coronary Thrombosis-2 (ASPECT-2), published in the July 13th issue of The Lancet.
