MADRID (Reuters Health Spain) Apr 19 – The risk of economy class syndrome is minimal in flights longer then 8 hours, according to a study from the Ramon and Cajal Hospital in Madrid.
Out of 9,070,000 passengers, disembarking from flights that had exceeded 8 hours at Barajas airport, Madrid, between January 1995 and December 2000, only 15 had pulmonary embolism symptoms, the study's investigators report.
