NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Apr 04 – Asthma patients exhibit marked individual differences in response to treatment with beclomethasone dipropionate or fluticasone propionate, and as many as a third may show no significant improvement in lung function (FEV1).
Dr. Stanley J. Szefler, of National Jewish Medical and Research Center, Denver, and colleagues note that although many inhaled corticosteroids and delivery devices are available "there is no standardized method by which to compare their beneficial and adverse effects."
