Plasma levels of b-thromboglobulin and platelet factor 4 may be useful in calculating the presence of vascular lesions in patients in rheumatic disorders.
This is the conclusion of researchers from Kishiwada Tokushukai Hospital, Kishiwada, Osaka, and Shizunai Hospital, Shizunai, Hokkaido, both in Japan, following an evaluative study of these levels in a series of patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
