Mass screening for melanoma would be more effective with improved outreach to men who are 50 years of age or older, according to a report in the October 1st issue of Cancer.
The incidence of melanoma among whites is increasing faster than that of any other preventable cancer, the authors explain, yet no randomized trials have examined the effectiveness of different strategies for its early detection.
