NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Apr 19 – In terms of efficacy and compliance, 14 days of treatment with terbinafine appears to be optimal for patients with Trichophyton tinea capitis, according to results of a study in a North American pediatric population.
Dr. Sheila F. Friedlander, of the University of California San Diego, and other members of the Tinea Capitis Study Group randomly assigned 50 children to 1 week of treatment, 55 to 2 weeks, and 54 to 4 weeks of treatment.
