A national accrediting body on Tuesday released draft standards for ensuring that research institutions have the appropriate checks in place to properly inform and protect volunteers in clinical trials.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance said the standards are available at its Web site, www.ncqa.org. It is accepting comments through January 16 and expects to finalize the standards in February.
