Allegiance Healthcare Corp. has instituted a voluntary nationwide recall of certain lots of 4341B thoracentesis catheters, and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is looking into what went wrong with the products, a spokeswoman for the agency said this week.
The FDA may release a detailed report on the catheters next month, the spokeswoman added.
