The American Medical Association is planning to make history when it opens the interim meeting of its House of Delegates here tomorrow. For the first time, the AMA is devoting an entire meeting to only legislative and advocacy issues.
Last June, AMA delegates voted to revamp its meeting structure as part of an overhaul of the organization’s entire
structure, an overhaul prompted by the constant decline in dues paying members. The idea, according to resolutions passed in June, is to make the AMA more “relevant”.
