Even though there have been significant improvements in outcomes over the past decade, renal transplant recipients hospitalized for congestive heart failure in the United States remain at high risk for mortality and should be targeted for appropriate cardiac interventions, researchers advise.
Dr. Charles A. Herzog with the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation in Minneapolis, Minnesota, issued his recommendation on November 20th at the annual meeting of the American Heart Association.
