Non-African-American and non-Caucasian transplant recipients, those whose renal disease is not due to diabetes, hypertension or glomerulonephritis, and recipients of a cadaveric donor graft are at increased risk of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD).
Jodi M. Smith, MD, and colleagues from the University of Washington, in Seattle, Washington, United States, have used data from the US Renal Data System to evaluate relative risk of PTLD associated with potential risk factors. They presented results at the 35th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Nephrology here.
