NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Oct 14 –
Patients allergic to house dust mites (HDM) often report an impaired quality of life. Findings from a new study indicate that the presence of asthma or sleeplessness may further impair quality of life in these patients.
Patients with HDM allergy are often known to have other disorders such as asthma or atopic eczema/dermatitis syndrome. However, it was unclear what effect the presence of these other conditions had on the quality of life of allergic patients.
