FBI Resumes Probe of Florida Anthrax-Tainted Building

BOCA RATON, Florida (Reuters) Aug 27 –

Investigators will re-enter an anthrax-contaminated Florida building owned by tabloid publisher American Media Inc. and use new techniques to search for a letter or package that may have carried the disease and fatally infected a man last autumn, FBI officials said on Monday.

The AMI building in Boca Raton has been closed since it became the first to be hit in a series of anthrax attacks in October 2001 that killed five people and caused fresh jitters around the country after the September 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.
