NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Jun 18 –
The Seattle Angina Questionnaire (SAQ), a 19-question survey of chest pain and its consequences, independently predicts 1-year mortality and acute coronary syndrome hospitalizations, according to a report in the June 18th rapid access edition of Circulation.
Although commonly used in clinical trials, the authors explain, survey instruments such as the SAQ have not been widely accepted in clinical practice, perhaps because their advantages have not been demonstrated.
