A 2- to 4-week course of low-dose oral steroids is an effective way of treating carpal tunnel syndrome, according to new research.
The findings of the study, led by neurologist Dr. Ming-Hong Chang from Taichung Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan, suggest that drug therapy could be an alternative to surgery for these for patients.
