Bush Unveils Smallpox Vaccination Plan

U.S. President George W. Bush announced his long-awaited smallpox vaccination plan today at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, next door to the White House. First up to receive the vaccine are one million military units, civilian defense personnel being sent off to Southwest Asia, and first responders on smallpox bioterror attack response teams. Next up are about 10 million healthcare professionals and emergency workers for whom vaccination is recommended but voluntary.
