NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Mar 26 – Survival and function after posterior circulation stroke, which varies according to the stroke location and mechanism, appears better than previously thought, according to a report in the March Archives of Neurology.
Dr. Louis Caplan from Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts and colleagues analyzed outcomes recorded in the New England Medical Center Posterior Circulation Registry, which included 407 patients with vertebrobasilar territory strokes and transient ischemic attacks.
